The production methods used to make Pu-erh or Pu-er tea is very different to most teas. This tea is re-hydrated after the fermentation stage to allow a second fermentation to take place. The teas are then stored in a cool cellar or sometimes underground for at least a year. This enables the teas to develop a strong earthy taste with a hint of spicy sweetness.
This is a lovely tea for the morning‚ after a heavy meal or when you want a cup with a bit of body.
Please note this tea is suitable for re-infusion.
