Pai Mu Tan also known as White Peony is a popular and tasty introduction into white teas. Coming from one of the famous tea growing areas‚ Fujian province in China.
When opening the packet you will find the tea full and voluminous compared to most other teas. The tea has various shades of green and grey which get their colour from the leaves and the very fine silver hair that grow on the silver tips.
Once made it gives a lovely sweet aroma‚ with a clean honeyed taste. The cup is bright and pale golden colour.
This tea is a great intoduction to white teas as it is very forgiving when brewing.
1 large heaped teaspoon per serving‚ Water ideally 70-80C‚1-3 minutes.
